Distribution FAQ

Please note recons are ONLY available on VHS quality.

LOOSE CANNON WILL NOT, AND NEVER WILL, SUPPLY RECONS FOR DOWNLOAD IN DVD OR VCD QUALITY OR EVEN ON TICKER TAPE!!!!!!

1. What's the point of this guide?

This guide provides an overview of obtaining the video reconstructions of missing Doctor Who episodes. Please be sure to read over all the instructions and print out a copy of this guide to keep. Remember that all the videos are free however the fan must provide blank tapes and return postage.

2. How many stories would you be able to handle at any one time?

Dub sites can handle up to THREE reconstructions at a time. One thing to remember, please read and follow ALL these instructions carefully. Many of the dub sites are continually busy. If you do not include the correct length tape, or do not open and pre-label the tapes, they may be returned to you at the dub site's discretion. Please remember that these people are doing this in their spare time, so be considerate. Also, please remember that the dub sites are here only to provide copies of the reconstructions. Please do not ask for anything else.

Also, be sure to send the proper length tapes.

Contact us (below) and we will put you in touch with a dub site who will let you know if they have any specific requirements. The dub site will get in touch with you to confirm the tapes you will need to send and their respective snail mail addresses. Please include in your package:
  • The pre-labelled tapes.
  • A self addressed return label.
  • An adequate amount of return postage. Please send stamps, not checks. Always remember to check the most up to date postage rates for your country.

5. I mailed someone about getting hold of some tapes several weeks ago, and I have not received a reply. What should I do?

In such an eventuality, please check carefully that your mail software is correctly set up first. It may be that it is putting the wrong return address on your mail, thus preventing people from replying to you. If this is not the case, please contact email us with details of who you mailed, when and what titles you requested. We will then attempt to look into the matter.
